Brazilian clubs competing in the new FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 are already beginning to reap the financial benefits of the competition. The governing body of football has defined a total fund of 1 billion dollars in prizes — a considerable jump compared to the old format, now called the Intercontinental with seven teams, which takes place annually. Now, there are 32 teams divided into eight groups of four, and the bonuses match the grandeur of the new model.

2025 World Club Championship awards by confederation
The FIFA has taken into account the competitiveness of each continent to define the prize money for participants. European clubs, which usually dominate international competitions, will receive a participation fee that can vary between $12.81 million and $38.19 million, according to sporting and commercial criteria.
For Brazilian clubs, which have four representatives in the tournament in 2025 — Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Palmeiras — the guaranteed amount for participation is $15.21 million (approximately R$ 83 million). Teams from Concacaf, Asia, and Africa will each receive around $9.55 million, while clubs from Oceania will have a share of $3.58 million.
Group stage
In the group stage, each win will be rewarded with 2 million dollars (R$ 11.4 million), and a draw guarantees 1 million dollars (R$ 5.7 million). The intention of FIFA with this incentive is to encourage the performance of all teams from the start of the competition, ensuring that the teams strive to achieve the best possible placement.
Quarterfinals
By advancing to the round of sixteen, the clubs are guaranteed a prize of $7.5 million (R$42.9 million).
Quarterfinals
Advancing past the round of sixteen, the teams move on to the quarterfinals, where the prize money increases to $13.1 million (R$ 75 million).
Semi-finals
Reaching the semifinals guarantees $21 million (R$ 120.3 million). Here, the teams are just two wins away from the world title.

The team that finishes in second place at the 2025 World Club Cup will take home $30 million (R$ 171.8 million).
