The quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup From this Saturday, December 28th, the FIFA Club World Cup begins. Sixteen teams continue to dream of winning the competition. The four Brazilian representatives - Flamengo , Palmeiras , Botafogo e Fluminense - managed to advance to the tournament's knockout stage.

Considering the teams' performance in the group stage and the draw from the round of sixteen onwards, the UD News compiled a "Power Ranking" of the teams based on their classifications, showing the main favorites to win the World Club Championship.

The Manchester City tops the list. Pep Guardiola's team is the only one with 100% success rate in the competition. In the last round of the group stage, City had a strong performance, defeating Juventus with a score of 5 to 2. In the round of sixteen, the English team will face Al-Hilal.

In second place in the "Power Ranking" is Real Madrid. The team led by Xabi Alonso has been growing in the tournament. After drawing in their debut against Al-Hilal, Real Madrid secured convincing victories over Pachuca (even with one player less) and RB Salzburg. In the next phase, the Spanish team will face a tough opponent: Juventus. Nevertheless, Real is favored to advance to the quarterfinals.

Completing the "podium" is Bayern Munich. The German team finished in second place in its group after being defeated by Benfica. But Bayern rested important players in the match, keeping an eye on the continuation of the competition. In the round of 16, the German team will face Flamengo.

The Rio team arrives with morale for the clash, undefeated in the World Cup. Flamengo led Group D, securing a convincing victory of 3-1 over Chelsea in the second round. In any case, whoever advances from the match between Bayern Munich and Flamengo may have a very complicated path ahead, including facing PSG, Real Madrid, and Manchester City, for example, until a potential World Cup title.

The best-placed Brazilian team in the rankings is Palmeiras, in sixth position. The green-and-white squad went through the first phase undefeated, leading Group A. In the round of 16, Palmeiras will face a highly balanced match against Botafogo this Saturday. The Rio de Janeiro club survived the "group of death," advancing in second place. Renato Paiva's team faced PSG and Atlético de Madrid head-on, achieving a historic victory against the current UEFA Champions League champion.

Who is likely to have enormous difficulties in the sequence of the competition is Fluminense. The team coached by Renato Gaúcho, after a great debut against Borussia Dortmund, saw its performance drop in the matches against Ulsan and Mamelodi. In the round of sixteen, Fluminense will have to overcome themselves to eliminate Inter Milan, the runner-up of the Champions League. If they advance, the Rio de Janeiro team will probably face the powerful Manchester City in the quarterfinals.
