Bruninho Samudio celebrates his form at Botafogo and call-up to the National Team

Highlighting his performances in Botafogo's youth divisions, Bruninho Samudio will represent the club in the Copa 2 de Julho, for the Brazilian Under-15 team. The young athlete, who joined the Glorioso in 2024, celebrated the moment he is experiencing with the Rio de Janeiro-based team.

Desire to become a soccer player

I wanted to be a soccer player because since I was a child, I had a great love, affection, and passion for the sport. Since then, I have been training to try to get better every day. And these trainings have been paying off, thanks to God. Because of this, I managed to join the team and if God wills it, I will achieve more things in my life.

Choose the goalkeeper position

When I was a child, I tried to play in line, but it wasn't like those things. Then as a little kid, people choosing teams, I always ended up being left out. And the only position that had a spot for me to play there was as a goalkeeper, I ended up going to the goal all the time. And from doing that so much, I ended up developing a great passion and affection for the position, and ever since then I've been in the goal.

I have in my mind that I can achieve great things, of course. Through work, dedication, and everything, I believe I can achieve great things in my career. And if God wills it, He will bless me so that I can achieve all of this.

I see myself in a great moment that God has provided for me, I thank every day for being alive through this and I hope it continues to maintain this good phase for many, many years. If God wants to call more often.

Related Articles Bruninho Samudio is the son of former Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno, who was involved with model Eliza Samudio (who was murdered by the ex-athlete in 2010). The young player reached Botafogo's youth system in 2024.
