Members Yojji and Jeongbin, who took on the overall production of the new album, revealed their unique affection for 'Bing Tender' as they further highlighted their own musical color.

Released at noon on the 27th, PAU's 3rd album '빙 텐더'(Being Tender, How to Be Tender) is an album that contains PAU's mature and deep music based on European sensibility and youth culture. It includes a total of four tracks, including the title song 'How to Be Tender,' 'Reason,' 'Celebrate,' and 'Fingerprint.'

Facing their comeback, PAU spoke recently with UD News, saying, "I'm excited and happy to meet our fans again after more than four months." They continued, "We have worked hard to show you the image you've been expecting, and not only us but also the staff have put our hearts into preparing for this." As they spoke, their eyes sparkled.

Producer Jeong Bin explained, "In the early days of our debut, we would practice as we prepared with the demo songs. But as we gained more experience after debuting, we realized which parts fans liked and found enjoyable. While preparing for the new album, we thought about how to enjoy ourselves as much as possible with the fans, and this desire to show a better stage made us add our own stories." The title track 'How to Be Affectionate' is a song where a cool and lyrical melody and unique vocals come together in harmony. It contains the actual stories of the members who still find it difficult to be affectionate towards their precious subjects.

Hong Eun said, "After hearing the title, I thought about how to present the keyword 'kindness' in the song and through the performance." She added, "Although the mood of this song is lively and bright, there were parts that seemed to need to be free from a mocking tone, so I did a lot of thinking about it."

Especially in the music video for 'How to Be Affectionate', it is said that Yoji's story is included. Dongyeon mentioned, "I thought Yoji was affectionate when I saw him preparing a can of tuna for a cat." Jeongbin added, "Fans who saw that said 'Yoji is so affectionate,' and the representative thought it would be good to use this as a storyline, so it was included."

Pau has gained acclaim for songs such as 'Favorite' and 'Dazzling.' This new song 'How to Be Affectionate' continues along the same vein.

Dongyon introduced, "Music fills our youth," and said about 'Favorite', if 'Favorite' represents the impetuous youth of teenagers, then 'Boyfriend' (2024) aims to show a more mature youth in their 20s from a past perspective. He also mentioned, "I tried to highlight consideration for the other person and make the delicacy more prominent."

In addition, Jeong Bin expressed pride in having good songs, while also saying, "I have a desire to reach more people." He added, "Since only those who know our songs know about them, we will work harder to make more people aware of them," he said. PAW, which debuted in October 2023, is celebrating its second anniversary this year. They have consistently sung about youth, expanding their own refreshing style. Dongyon said, "I came into the world as a child, but I am growing day by day with changing appearances. I want to continue showing my growing self."

In particular, Yoochun was previously an trainee at Big Hit Music, but his team's debut was canceled. He said, "When I came to Korea, I thought I wouldn't be able to do (K-pop idol) it, but after debuting with PAURO, I thought 'I can do this' a lot." He also said, "Before, I didn't know much about singing or composing and lacked confidence, but now that I've met the members and practice and learn composition together, I feel like my skills have improved a lot."

"And while we didn't start off with all the facilities of a large company, we are steadily progressing and growing step by step," he said. "It may be slow at times, and there might be moments of wandering, but we keep moving forward, always looking ahead. It's even better to grow through this process together with our fans," he shared uniquely. Pau will go on tour in the second half of the year along with the album release. Dongyeon said, "I want our music to blend into daily life and bring happiness, and through the tour, we aim to fill that even more and show it. We plan to include all new songs in the setlist to convey energy."
