Honesty and authenticity in music matter most to me. When I perform on stage, I want to feel like I'm sharing a page from my diary with the world.

British pop newcomer Henry Moodie is gaining popularity for his honest emotional expression based on personal experiences and timeless lyrical content.

The sincerity will also be conveyed at his first solo concert in Korea, to be held at the Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on July 23rd at 8 PM.

Moody said in a written interview with Live Nation Korea on the 27th, ahead of his concert in South Korea, "The music of the artists who have supported me also contained sincerity, and such music really connected deeply with me, so I want to make that kind of music as well."

Moody, who started working on music from a young age, solidified his foundation as a songwriter by completing a composition course at the prestigious British music school BIMM. He began to gain attention through social media by showcasing cover songs.

In particular, he said that Ed Sheeran's 'Castle on the Hill' resonated deeply among the cover songs.

My childhood feelings from growing up in the UK are well captured in this song. Especially, I still vividly remember the time in 2017 when my sister, father, and I were singing along at the top of our voices while on a car trip with this song.

Moody began his music career in earnest by signing a global contract with Sony Music.

The debut single 'You Were There For Me,' released in 2022, is a song that Moody wrote, composed, and produced in their childhood bedroom. It serves as the starting signal for Moody's substantive takeoff.

The following year, 'Drunk Text' became a representative song for Moodie as it captured the pain of unrequited love in its lyrics and explosive chorus, resonating with the public. The song achieved significant success across Asia, including topping the Malaysian music charts. It also entered the Spotify Global 200 chart. As of now, the music video has amassed over 180 million views on YouTube.

In 2022 and last year, she was listed among the top 10 UK artists most viewed on the short-form platform TikTok. In 2023, she was selected as one of Amazon Music's 'Artists to Watch'.

Since the release of last year's debut EP 'In All of My Lonely Nights,' the artist's first world tour in Europe, the United States, and Australia has sold out every show.

The second UK and European headline tour held after the release of their second EP 'Good Old Days' was also successful. Last July, Moody visited Korea for the first time through the domestic festival 'Have A Nice Trip 2024', where they received great cheers from fans by going down to the stage to greet the audience and singing with the Taegukgi around their neck. At this festival, Moody also performed a duet of 'Drunk Texts' with the Korean singer-songwriter Seori.

Moody remembered, "Working with Frost was really enjoyable. She greeted me so kindly and warmly, and we had a great time shooting before going on stage together."

Moody has connections with Korean musicians as well. In 2023, at the 'Korea On Stage' event held at the Wembley Arena in the UK, he performed a special stage covering The Beatles' 'Hey Jude' alongside the South Korean band Jannabi.

There is also a connection with K-pop idols. 'Drunk Text' was re-illuminated as it was covered by ENCRY DRAM member Chenlu. Additionally, Moody's shorts video featuring BOND (BOY NEXT DOOR) member Myung Jae Hyun also received attention.

Moody said, "I still can't believe that Thousand Dollar covered my song. His voice really suited the track, and it's an honor that he knows of my existence." Although there are many K-pop artists I like, I proudly call myself a huge fan of Blackpink. "It would be really great if I could collaborate with the whole group or one of the members someday."

Last year when he came to Korea, he said that the Korean barbecue he ate on the night of his arrival left a deep impression. He praised it as one of the best foods he had ever eaten in his life. "It was a small shop in an alley in Seoul, and it was packed with people. That trip itself was so special. People were really kind, the audience was amazing, and the country of Korea was truly beautiful."

I'm about to release my first full-length album this year. "This album documents some of the most important moments in my life over the past few years. There are also songs on topics I haven't addressed before, and I've been more honest than ever about my story. It might feel somewhat confusing, but that was intentional. After all, this is my early 20s, and I wanted to capture that rawness exactly as it is."

This time, British pop-rock band 'The Vamps' member Bradley Simpson and Reece Bibby from the disbanded UK band 'New Hope Club' will be joining as special guests for the concert in Korea.

I really love the music of these two people, and they are also really great friends of mine personally. We've known each other for several years since we're managed by the same agency. I even participated in the New Hope Club and The Vamps tour before. It's really new and incredibly exciting to have them join me on stage now; it's almost unbelievable. I might not be here without them. I also really want to try singing together with them on stage.

She was excited just thinking about being able to eat Korean barbecue again. "Korean food is really the best! While I do eat it often in London, it's a completely different experience eating it here locally,"

He said, "I want to fully enjoy the food and culture this time. I want to express my gratitude to the fans through the performance. It will definitely be a hot and energetic stage. I can feel it already!" He said, blushing.
