After making their name as a rookie at the 'PentaPort Rock Festival,' which is known as the dream stage for bands, AsAdAL has now been given the opportunity to perform on the main stage of the 'Sound Planet Festival.' Showing consistent growth each year, the band shared that they want to grow steadily over a long period without rushing, even though they have achieved success early on.

The new musician incubation project '2025 CMYK' band competition, now in its fourth year, was held on the evening of the 26th at Rolling Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Asadal (Kim Hyun-san, Kim Kyu-sik, Kim Young-yoon, Kim Ju-hyuk) won the glorious first place, securing a ticket to perform at the '2025 Soundplanet Festival'.

Asadal won the competition by defeating 11 fierce teams including Gongwon, Dadada, Leerang_e, Oah!, An Hyojoo, Jibenu, Blue.D, Monday Off With Bluesy, SHARKI, To More Raw, and Oabe. Immediately after being announced as part of the Top 2, Asadal met with UD News Entertainment and shared their feelings, saying "I couldn't even imagine winning."

The members said, "It seems we were more eager to make it to the finals than to win. It wouldn't be surprising with 12 teams with incredible skills competing fiercely to get here. Just being able to perform on stage with them is pretty exciting. Even when we came today, we thought, 'Let's come and have fun as if it's a light performance, not too attached to the rankings, just enjoy the stage.' I think this attitude might have led to good results."

Unlike this mindset, Asadal had to take on the role of the 8th contestant in what could be considered the middle of the competition, inevitably carrying some burden as he stepped onto the stage. This was because he had to perform after watching the stages of the previous 7 teams in front of the audience. When asked which performance left the deepest impression on them, they replied, "The performance by singer-songwriter Han Yo-joo, who was the fifth contestant, is memorable. What was most surprising was her age. She said she was 16 this year. All the other competitors were adults, and the stage was enormous, yet she managed to put on a show alone in such an environment. It seemed so impressive. I wondered what I was doing when I was in my third year of middle school. Also, the performance by Tomorrow, which came in second place, was really cool," revealing their admiration.

"Even so, when it comes to the secret behind winning, I honestly think it was because each team was given only 10 minutes. We had to show everything we had within that time, so I think we strategically approached it by thinking about 'how can we make a greater impact on the audience?' That's why we prepared three songs. I remember that there was no other team that fit three songs into their 10-minute slot, and I think that effectively worked in our favor during this competition," he said.

Asadal added, "It seems that the surprise performance we prepared today also garnered a good response." He continued with a proud smile, "While singing, I threw picks towards the audience, which was actually something we hadn't tried during rehearsals. It was just something I imagined alone, but the reaction was really great."

This surprise performance by Asadal can also be seen at the 'Soundplanet Festival' where they are performing. Asadal said, "The charm of our performance is that we prepare something different every time. Even the members don't share it before going on stage. The biggest charm is being surprised and looking forward to what we will do." They also mentioned, "We have plans for several performances and first want to try stage diving. I want to throw myself into the audience who are densely packed. Also, I have a desire to use the broadcast screen. I want to accompany the camera and capture each member of our group as they go on stage. Besides these, we are gradually accumulating various ideas."

Asadal's performance at a major festival is his second after last year's 'Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival.' The difference this time is that he performed on a relatively small stage as a 'super rookie' back then, but this time he will be on the main stage. Asadal expressed his determination saying, "The weight given to a mini stage and a main stage is different, isn't it? From this perspective, I want to prepare more firmly this time." He also mentioned, "I want to add more sophistication. After all, at 'Pentaport' it was my first time so there was a feeling of excitement. While there was the energy and spirit of a newcomer, I felt that the sophistication and maturity were lacking. This time, I hope to meet the audience with a more well-rounded appearance."

Asadal, who has been steadily growing by expanding the scale of their stage every year, was asked about their future goals. They replied, "I want to show that we can grow a little at a time without being hasty, and continue making music for a long time." They also added, "Of course, winning first place in a competition would be nice, but the reason I find music so fun is more important. My dream is to perform with these members for a long time. I want to make music with them for a long, long time."

Our Asadal is a band that talks about things that don't change over time, like dreams and love. We want to continue singing about this for a long time in the future.

On the other hand, Tomorrow's announced participation in the '2025 Soundplanet Festival' will take place over two days on September 13th and 14th at Paradise City in Incheon. YB, Lucy, Lee Seung-yoon, NELL, Bolbbalgan4, Cherry Filter, Woozi, and others are set to perform.
