For a full 10 years, SBS announcer Lee Hye-seung woke up at half past four every morning, earlier than anyone else, to prepare for the day. This included holidays. She was someone who diligently opened her day with such dedication.

On the morning of the 27th, during the final moments of the third segment of 'Morning Wide' broadcast, announcer Lee Hye-seung said as she was saying her final greetings.

I've been with 'Morning Wide' for almost 10 years now. It has been a happiness to start the day with all of you every morning. I will greet you through another program. To all the viewers, thank you very much.

But behind these few words lay the weight of ten years, having gone through countless dawns. On that day, Ahn Hyeongseung gave an exclusive interview to our newspaper and shared her honest feelings.

I used to say 'I have to stay for at least 10 years' all the time. When people greeted me and talked about the program, I would smile and say 'I haven't reached 10 years yet.' It was a program that I loved very much. Although there were many difficult moments, I could endure because of my wonderful colleagues. Looking back, it was a truly happy 10 years.

TV anchor Lee Hye-seung first took charge of 'Morning Wide' in December 2016. At that time, she started the third segment alongside Jo Jung-sik. After counting the years, it has been exactly 10 years. She then matched her rhythm with Kim Joo-woo for six years. Lee Hye-seung, one of the longest-serving main anchors, has watched over viewers every morning.

It's the kind of broadcast that people usually turn on while preparing for work. Even if you just catch a glimpse of it for a moment, it makes you feel good and helps you start your day refreshed. That's what I thought would be great, and that's our 'Morning Wide.' That's why I always try to be energetic and convey a bright spirit.

At 7:30 AM, it was live broadcast. However, announcer Lee Hye-seung's day started three hours earlier at 4:30 AM. Even on holidays, the broadcast did not stop, and neither did he.

I think I need to be awake three hours before the broadcast starts. That way, both my mind and body can be fully awake. Since the broadcast is at 7:30, I woke up at 4:30 every day. Even though there are difficulties in not being able to rest when others are resting, it's a message that needs to be delivered, and I felt honored to be able to do it.

The affection for the MCs I've worked with for a long time is also very deep. "For the first three years, it was Jo Jung Sik, and then for the next six years, it was Kim Joo Woo announcer. Both were such good friends and the best partners. Especially Joo Woo, who is close to me and is so bright and full of energy, always made our time together enjoyable. Jung Shik, despite being a much younger junior, was a witty and charming atmosphere maker, which was great."

Kim Joo-woo and Lee Hye-seung, who have been hosting 'Morning Wide,' will be succeeded by Choi Hye-rim. This is from an SBS broadcast capture.

He said, "There were times when going to work was hard and you want to finish as soon as possible. But having partners makes these 10 years more grateful. Working happily with people you get along well with, laughing while working, I think it's a great blessing. I feel like I've enjoyed a lot over the past 10 years." He smiled.

TV anchor Lee Hye-seung said, "It wasn't easy to leave the program that I had invested so much of my heart into." She also revealed her honest feelings, saying, "I naturally moved down in accordance with the restructuring, and I believe my successor will do well."

When I look back on that time, it feels so distant. Haha. It was a period when I was active, causing a boom with Anatinae. It seems I was well-suited for the times. When I first came to the broadcasting station, my goal was to do news, but I ended up broadening my range of activities. While doing variety shows, I received love and had grateful moments. Then I returned to news, and after getting married, I naturally moved to education programs and was able to host main programs for a long time. I am grateful.

Looking back, it has been a non-stop journey. "I haven't had a break except for maternity leave. I've experienced everything, and now I feel like I'm wrapping up a chapter, but I still have so much I want to do. It was great when I hosted a radio show under my name. It was an English program, and besides that, I often served as the English MC for major international events organized by the company. Now, I also enjoy being a host where we can have in-depth conversations, and I'm confident I can do well with whatever is assigned to me."

Now he hosts the SBS Morning 10 o'clock News. Although his morning show 'Morning Wide' that aired every day has ended, his bright energy and warmth will continue to be conveyed.

I often think that choosing to become an announcer was the right decision, as I hear it every time I come to work in the morning and prepare for the broadcast. I still find working so happy and fun. Isn't that the greatest blessing?
