On the 28th at 9:40 PM, KBS1's 'Reporter View: The World Now' episode 409 will cover the story of a controversial 'comic prophecy book' that predicted both the Great Kanto Earthquake and the coronavirus pandemic in Japan, which is currently preparing for a major earthquake. It will also discuss the 'bunker buster' bombs that Trump dropped on Iran during the war between Israel and Iran.

■ Japan July Great Calamity Prediction

There is a comic book that has been a topic of discussion on the internet recently. It is "The Future I Saw" by Japanese manga artist Ryô Tatsuki. This book was first released in 1999 and was reissued as a complete edition in 2021. The original edition even sold for 200,000 yen at an auction.

The complete book has reportedly sold over 800,000 copies so far. Why is a book released in 1999 now receiving attention again in 2025?

This is because the content of the book prophesies events that will happen in the future. The author predicted the '2011 Tohoku Earthquake' and the '2020 COVID-19 Pandemic.'

Recently, the book has become a topic of discussion due to additional prophecy content, which states that a great disaster will strike Japan in July 2025. The details are even described specifically. It is said that a super tsunami will occur due to a submarine volcanic eruption between Japan and the Philippines, with waves three times as large as those of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake crashing ashore.

Actually, in the past 5 days, more than 400 earthquakes have occurred near the Tokara Islands south of Kyushu, Japan. Within Japan, there is a superstition that if similar-sized earthquakes occur multiple times around the Tokara Islands, a major earthquake will soon follow. The Japan Meteorological Agency has also stated, "At this time, it would not be unusual for a major earthquake to occur at any moment," and has urged preparedness.

The KBS production team directly reported on the preparations of Japanese citizens for the major disaster in July. At a daycare center visited by the production team, training for tsunamis was underway.

A 3-year-old child was seen wearing personal safety gear and moving according to the teacher's instructions. A citizen who experienced the Great Hanshin earthquake said, "Every time it reaches 5:46 AM, the fear from that moment overwhelms me, and I find myself waking up involuntarily," discussing the mental shock after experiencing disasters. The report directly covered the fear and reality of the great calamity that swept through Japan.

■ Attack on Iran's nuclear facilities

On the 23rd, a ceasefire was announced between Iran and Israel. US President Trump posted a message on social media starting with "Everyone congratulate!", announcing the ceasefire agreement in the '12-day war' between the two countries. This unexpected news came just two days after the United States directly attacked Iran, heightening the tension of war.

On the morning of the 22nd local time in Iran, the United States launched attacks on three nuclear facilities located in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. The weapon used was a 'bunker buster,' a bomb developed specifically to neutralize facilities built deep underground. Shortly after the airstrike, Trump announced that he had completely eliminated Iran's uranium enrichment facility and claimed that "monumental damage" had been inflicted on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Following the airstrike on U.S. nuclear facilities, a dramatic ceasefire agreement was reached. This led to reactions in American political circles such as "peace through strength" and "national victory." However, criticism also arose that President Trump approved the airstrike against Iran without the approval of Congress, which is seen as a threat to the United States.

There is also division within the Republican pro-Trump camp. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of the Republican Party argued that "This is not our fight." Steve Bannon, former Chief Strategist who was referred to as "Trump's advisor," pointed out that "This will prevent us from focusing on what needs to be done, such as creating sanctuaries for illegal immigrants and passing tax cuts."

Trump announced that he will meet with Iran next week and hinted at reopening the 'Iran Nuclear Deal.' The analysis focuses on America's bunker buster weapons and operational strategies that halted the Iran-Israel conflict, tracing back to the history of the conflict between the U.S. and Iran.

'Foreign Correspondent Report' Episode 409 will feature Yoon Soo-young, Professor Kim Jae-chun (Sogang University), Oh Geon-young, Team Leader (Shinhan Bank WM Business Department), Professor Park Hyun-do (Sogang University), and Taesangho, a military specialist journalist. The show is scheduled to broadcast live on KBS 1 at 9:40 PM on Saturday, June 28th.
