'Lawyer Nomu Jin' concludes today... nationwide ratings 5.1%
In the final episode of 'Lawyer Nomu Jin,' an unimaginable building collapse occurs, heightening the tension.
On June 27th, in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Lawyer No Mu Jin' (Concept by Kwon Sung Chang / Directed by Im Sun Rye, Lee Han Joon / Written by Kim Bo Tong, Yu Seung Hee / Produced by Broccoli Pictures), episode 9 depicted No Mu Jin (played by Jung Kyung Ho) shaking up the final villain Myeongim Construction with the power of 'the strength of anger' alongside the ghost workers of Bukuk Warehouse. However, due to substandard construction, an unexpected building collapse occurred in Mu Jin's plan, making the unpredictable development until the finale something to look forward to.
'Lawyer Nomu Jin' episode 9 recorded a nationwide viewership rate of 5.1% and a Seoul metropolitan area rate of 4.5%, ranking first in its time slot and among Friday-Saturday dramas. The highest momentary viewership rate surged to 6% during the ending scene where the building collapse begins, pushing the tension to its peak. (Based on Nielsen Korea data).
In episode 9, Mu-jin was kidnapped by thugs sent from Myeongim Construction and bound hand and foot. In this situation, finding the crucial evidence USB that would become the key to solving this case became the main task. Despite enduring the torture of being forced to eat jjajangmyeon and gunmandu, Mu-jin did not reveal the location of the USB, and Na Hee-ju (played by Seol In-ah) and Go Geon-woo (played by Cha Hyeon), who knew of the USB's existence, became the only hope for Mu-jin and the ghosts.
Heeju and Geonwoo went to Boguk Warehouse to look for the USB while worrying about Mujin who had been out of contact. Fortunately, Geonwoo found the USB in the chili paste container inside the refrigerator. At that moment, the thugs from Myoungim Construction also came to look for the USB. Heeju ended up dropping the USB during a chase and a physical fight. Not only was the evidence taken away, but they also heard that the witness, President Choi of Boguk Warehouse, had made an extreme choice. This news left 'Mujins' disheartened.
But it wasn't over until it was over. The ghosts secretly overheard the work that Myeongim Construction was planning for Mr. Joo's funeral parlor and informed Minjin about it. It turned out that the representative of Myeongim Construction, Kim Myung-an (played by Choi Mu-sung), was joining hands with Member of Parliament Mun Jung-eun (played by Moon So-ri). Member of Parliament Mun Jung-eun was a politician who expanded her influence by receiving corporate donations and amending labor-related bills to favor corporations. The ghosts erupted in anger, saying, "They don't intend to properly enforce laws made by people like us dying." Seeing the space tremble due to the ghosts' rage, Minjin thought of a solution and said, "There's one last method."
Then, a special collaboration that only Mu Jin and the ghosts could perform unfolded. Mu Jin led the way, stirring up the workers' ghosts' anger as he said, "Let's think about the justice that anger will bring." Mu Jin appeared at the secret meeting between Representative Kim Myung-an and Assemblywoman Moon Jung-eun, grabbing them by the collar and exuding the 'grim reaper' aura as if dragging them to hell. Each time Mu Jin scolded Kim Myung-an, the ghosts grew angrier, causing the space to tremble. Terrified, Kim Myung-an confessed to being the true owner of National Treasure Warehouse and admitted his guilt, but as soon as his safety was secured, he turned aggressive and threatened Mu Jin.
At this moment, an unexpected situation occurred. Just intending to scare Kim Myung-an for a confession, the building actually started shaking. It was due to the shoddy construction by Mingam Construction, which had ignored regulations in their rush to build the structure. Hujoo and Gyunwoo also arrived at the scene to help Joonin, and as Joonin looked flustered, the ceiling collapsed, cutting the scene. The episode ended with unprecedented building collapse, reaching the peak of tension. The final story focused on whether 'Joonin' could resolve the ghosts' grudges in this crisis.
'Woojinse' has been solving various labor issues, but now they face a huge adversary in 'Mingyeom Construction'. In the final episode, we see Kim Myung-an facing the consequences of his actions and Woojin falling from a building, creating tension. Additionally, the narrative around Woojin entering into a 'Bosal-Yeonhon Enlightenment Contract' will be revealed. The true reason why Bosal chose Woojin as the labor lawyer for the ghosts will be unveiled, promising to address all the plot points that have been intriguing viewers since the first episode.
The final episode of MBC's 'Lawyer No Mu Jin', which you can't let your guard down until the end, will be broadcast today, June 28th at 9:50 PM.
